Equitable Opportunity Collaborative

Drawing together diverse minds within Michigan Ross and the broader academic community to share and collaborate on rigorous research on equity and opportunity in business and related domains.

The Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan is proud to announce the launch of an exciting new initiative, the Equitable Opportunity Collaborative (EOC).

Equitable opportunity research focuses on understanding and addressing disparities and barriers that certain groups face in accessing resources, opportunities, and fair treatment, regardless of factors like race, gender, socioeconomic background, or other aspects of identity.

Our Mission

Our mission is to build and support a dynamic community of researchers dedicated to advancing understanding and fostering innovation in research on equity across business and related domains, including education, energy and environment, healthcare, sports and entertainment, and technology. We aim to educate and empower academics, students, business leaders, policymakers, and other individuals to champion equity and opportunities that will drive meaningful change within their organizations and society at large.

Equitable Opportunity Conference

The Inaugural Equity Opportunity Conference was held on June 6-7, 2024, at the Ross School of Business, University of Michigan. This conference brought together academics, practitioners, and policymakers for a cross-disciplinary exchange of research and ideas related to equity and opportunity across business and related domains, including education, energy and environment, healthcare, sports and entertainment, and technology.
